Thank you all so much! We reached our goal and Abby got the heart surgery last week! The doctors at UC Davis had to make one small adjustment to the pacemaker once it was hooked up, but now everything is looking great! The instructions are to keep Abby in a small pen so she can't run around and get her heart rate up, which means she cant get any exercise, so she is extremely full of energy! I have been taking her on short walks just so she can let off some steam, and she has been enjoying them. Meanwhile, her sister Ashley is extremely jealous of all the attention Abby is getting! Now that Abby has the pacemaker, she has been acting a lot more alive and full of life! She greets me every morning at her gate and prances around like a puppy waiting for her oats after a walk! I am so glad that thanks to you guys, we were able to save her life. And I know that she must be happy as well! I don't have any pictures of the actual pacemaker surgery, but i will upload some pictures of her in the recovery process as soon as i get the chance! I will also try and get a picture of her x-ray on the website as well so you can see where the pacemaker is located. It is pretty neat to look at! Thank you all for your support!
